Football, you can go out and buy a football and play it in your backyard. Basketball, you can go out and play it in the schoolyard or in your driveway. Baseball, you get a glove and a bat and a ball and you go out and play in the neighborhood. You can’t do that in hockey.

As a professional athlete, there aren’t too many things as gratifying as being on the front of a box. Whether it be a cereal box or a game box. It’s very gratifying.

I’m obviously into the sports. The NFL games and the NHL games.

They just love to complain about me because I’m an American who gets more press than their Canadian players.

When I get home, I’m not very happy. Especially when I didn’t do something to help the cause.

I think there are a lot of crazy guys that I’ve played with in the past. Wayne VanDorp, when I played in Chicago. He wasn’t a big name, but my God was he nuts.

You can’t just go outside and play hockey. It’s more of an expensive sport.

The only difference between the Coyotes and ‘Days of Our Lives’ is that nobody has been shot on our team yet.

If I had a bad game and we lost I take it very seriously. I feel if I play a good game that other guys will follow and that will help us win more games. And if I don’t, I take it upon myself as being my fault.

Yeah, I’m cocky and I am arrogant. But that doesn’t mean I’m not a nice person.
